The main objective of this course is to acquaint the students with elementary principles of
environmental Laws to enable them to make proper and effective use of their professional
abilities. Because the scientific gains can be put into use within the parameters of a legal system
and the science and law must be subservient to the needs of the society. Through this course the
students shall learn about the legislative measures for protection of environment and spirit of
Indian Constitution for environmental protection. The students would be made familiar with the
overall environmental legal regime of the country as well as the international obligations.
