Entrepreneurship and Production environment

In the era of globalization, liberalization, and privatization coupled with the ever-increasing population explosion, India is facing a challenge in providing meaningful earning opportunities to the youth of the nation. Due to the shrinking job opportunities in the public sector and challenges involved in the private sector. Self-employment is seen as a potential for providing fruitful employment opportunities. The challenges involved in self-employment and entrepreneurship are immense/ huge, but the potential seems to be high in both sectors. Entrepreneurship refers to an individual or a small group of partners who strike out on an original path to create a new business. An aspiring entrepreneur actively seeks a particular business venture, and the entrepreneur assumes the greatest amount of risk associated with the project. As such, this person also stands to benefit most if the project is a success. So present course offered to 2nd semester PG students of MRS is to orient them about the basics of entrepreneurship and also an understanding of the production environment, especially in the rural setup.
