Objectives: It is an essential core course for the students of M. Sc. Physics in 2nd semester. The course covers the detailed contents about the Perturbation Theory, approximation methods and Scattering Theory.
Course Outcomes: The students will be able to solve simple problems by using perturbation theory and apply them to various quantum systems. They shall also be able to solve barrier problem by using WKB method, understand the idea of Born approximation and the method of partial waves.
